First Semester Grades and Credits

We want to wish all our families a happy healthy new year! Second semester began on January 6th and ends on May 30th. If your student received an INC from first semester, s/he will receive a contract from the teacher with additional work that must be completed in the next six weeks. At the end of the contract period, the student will earn a passing grade if the work is completed to standard or will fail the course and need to make the credits up. We will have an All School Meeting celebrating our honor roll students this Friday, January 17th.

Parent Association  – JANUARY 14

Join us at the Parent Association next week to hear about plans for second semester, including portfolios and exhibitions. This month we will have a special workshop by Goodwill, focused on Workforce Development to help support families to access employment opportunities. Feel free to bring a friend.

 Winter Ball – Semi-formal dance

Tickets are now on sale for the Winter

Ball, semi-formal dance. The dance will be held at Metronome, on 17th Street. There will be food and dancing from 8-11pm.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at school this week.

Nacho Sale – Thursday

This Thursday, January 16th, the PA has organized a Nacho Sale during lunch time. Students should bring $3-$5 to get nachos and drinks to support the fundraising efforts of the PA.

Safety at LHS Sports Events

Last week, one of our students was attacked by a rowdy fan at our basketball game held at ISA. LHS has made a complaint with the AAA league and is committed to providing a safe place for our students to attend sporting events. We have a security guard at all of our home games, as well as our staff. We encourage parents to attend our games to offer extra support. Please contact our Athletic Director, Garrett Anderson at ganderson@leadershiphigh.org if you would like to volunteer formally.

If you have items for the Parent Press or would like to receive these via e-mail, contact Principal, Ms. Silb, at bsilb@leadershiphigh.org
