It’s Time to Pack!
BuildOn and AmeriCorps volunteer Stephanie Wong have coordinated a Community Service Day for parents and students to help teachers prepare for our big move! The Service Day will be on Sunday, December 7th from 10 to 3pm. Students will earn community service hours and lunch will be provided. Please contact Stephanie Wong at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Independent Reading Success!
The Independent Reading Program, led by Librarian Ms. Godwin, has greatly increased our students’ interest in books. The secret behind Ms. Godwin’s success is working tirelessly to find books students enjoy and fulfilling specific book requests. We would like to continue growing the program by ordering as many high interest books as possible. If you would like to donate to the Independent Reading Program, please make a check out to Leadership High School with “Library” in the memo. Your donation can be given to the front office staff. Please contact Ms. Godwin at email@example.com if you would like more information about Independent Reading or our new library.
Alumni Basketball Game
Our former basketball teams will play against our current teams on Friday, December 12th. The girls will play at 5pm and the boys will play at 6:30pm at the Denman gym. Current students, alumni, parents, and staff are all welcome to come out! Who will you root for?
The LHS main office and classrooms would greatly benefit from the following items: granola bars, Clorox wipes, tissues, cough drops, and feminine products. If you are able to donate any of these items, please bring them to the main office, room #301.
If you have items for the Parent Press, or would like to receive them via e-mail, please contact our Office Manager, Emma Cizek at firstname.lastname@example.org
