Leadership is committed to supporting school reform across the Bay Area, State, and Nation. We are a mentor school with the Small Schools Project of the Coalition of Essential Schools and regularly present at national conferences through CES.
Additionally, we provide two kinds of visit days. Full-Day Reflective Visits, organized in collaboration with the San Francisco Coalition of Essential Small Schools, are designed for educators and school leaders. These visits provide an opportunity to observe classes, including Advisory; participate in Professional Development; meet with students, staff, and leaders during provided breakfast and lunch; network with LHS staff who share similiar roles to those of visitors; access relevant information and documents; and provide feedback to the LHS community.
In 2007-2008, Full-Day Reflective Visits will be held on:
We also provide less formal Personal Connection Visits for non-educators and community allies. These visits are held the first Friday of each month, October through May, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Visits are free for feeder schools and reduced for schools within the SF-CESS network.
