Back to School Night Success!

Back to School Night was an amazing success! Teachers, parents, and students had a great time joining in community to commence the school year with food and fun. A special thank you to the parent volunteers Terye Lewis, Joanna Hernandez, and Rosie Perieff. Check out pictures from the event by visiting our Facebook page.

Leadership Sports Games

Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball games have begun! It is very important for our community to support our student athletes at both home and away games. Check the schedule below for upcoming games!

MYEEP Application

The Mayor’s Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP) application is due this Friday September 12th by 6pm! Students can turn in their application downstairs at Denman in Room 181 on the first floor to Terry Johnson.  Applications must be submitted in person by the student.

Parent Association Meeting

Our first Parent Association meeting of the year is tonight at 6pm in room 307. The Parent Association meets every second Tuesday of the month. All parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend. PA meetings are the easiest way to stay informed and involved in our community. Spanish translation will be available at every meeting. We hope to see you there!

Chevys Night

We will be having a Chevys fundraiser this Thursday September 11th from 4-9PM at both local Chevys locations in San Francisco and South San Francisco. Chevys will donate 20% of your bill to Leadership. Please come by the office to pick up a coupon or email Emma Cizek at

Family Meeting Week

Family meeting week is next week from September 15th–19th. If you have not scheduled a meeting with your student’s advisor please be sure to do so immediately as meeting slots are filling up. Family meetings are an opportunity to celebrate your student’s successes as well as areas for improvement. If you do not have the contact information for your student’s advisor, you may call the main office at 415-841-8910.

1st Quarter Progress Reports Mailed Home

First Quarter progress reports will be mailed home on September 17th. You will only receive a progress report if you student is not passing a class. Progress reports are an opportunity to speak with your child about their grades and help get them back on track to succeed in Semester 1!

Leadership’s Board of Trustees meets four times a year. Their first meeting of the year will be held on September 18th from 6-9PM. Board meetings are open to the public. We encourage all parents and guardians to attend. Meeting agendas and minutes will be available in the main office.
