April 29 – School in Session – Prom

Prom is approaching and will take place Friday April 29th at the SOMArts Cultural Center located at 934 Brannan Street from 7-11 pm. This years’ theme is The Black & Gold Masquerade. Wearing black and gold is not required but it is requested that all wear a mask. Tickets are on sale during lunch in the main hallway. This event is open for Juniors and Seniors ONLY! Tickets are $65 per person and $120 for a couple. If you need a guest form please come to the ticket table. Picture prices range from $15 – $50.

Senior Exhibition Day
Seniors will be presenting their Senior Exhibitions on May 13th. As part of the Advanced Leadership course, students conduct research at a local community organization and compose research reports on their findings. Students present their findings and analysis of the organization to the underclassmen. If you would like to attend your student’s presentation, please contact their advisor.

Finals Week
Finals will be held during the week of May 23rd. Monday will be the review day and Tuesday the test day for Periods 1, 2, and 3. Wednesday will be the review day and Thursday the test for Periods 4 and 5. There will be advisory on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, which will also serve as an opportunity for students to make up any exams they may have missed. Student will begin and end school at 8:30am and 3:30pm every day.

The Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2016 will be held on May 28th from 2 to 4pm at the Balboa High School Auditorium located on the corner of Otsego and Onondaga. Students are not limited to a certain number of guests. There will be open seating available on a first come first serve basis. Leadership is in need of basic school supplies (lined paper, notebooks, 3-ring binders, pens, pencils, index cards). Please drop any donations off to the main office. Thank you for your support!
